The designer from Moldova and the Korean robot-building company joined forces to create a four-meter robomeha. His fantastic prototype we saw in the famous Oscar-winning “Avatar”.

The author of the futuristic appearance of the robot belongs to the designer Vitaly Bulgarov. Much more famous is his previous development for the latest series of “Terminator”, “Robocop”, “Transformers”, as well as a series of games Starcraft and World of Warcraft. He currently works with Korea Future Technology, where he heads one of the most ambitious projects called Method-1.

It can be called simultaneously a gigantic “suit” and a controlled robot that is familiar to millions of gamers on video games and has become quite real and functional with the help of modern technologies.

The hands of the operator in the glazed cabin are integrated into the robotic manipulator control system and fully synchronized with them, that is, the robot mirrors the movements of the operator’s hands. Method-1 is also able to walk on flat surfaces forward and backward.

At the moment (since it’s a prototype model), its power is supplied through a connected power cable, and from the possible fall of the robot is protected by a special safety bar located above.

According to Vitaly Bulgarov, the robot can be used in a stationary version at industrial enterprises. Another possible option on the wheeled platform with an autonomous power source can find its application in the aftermath of the accident at the Fukushima nuclear power plant .
